My first map design ever of the magical fairytale town of Castiglion Fiorentino, Italy.
When I wasn’t at work, I’d be writing stories, creating my own little worlds. So, when I hit writer’s block, I create a better visual in my head by making my story come to life. This is my fictional world for my recent manuscript based on real locations in Southeast Texas.
My undergrad in college was spent at Texas A&M University studying Visualization, which is a fancy world for advanced computer art and illustration. After graduation, I spent several years as a graphic designer for a local newspaper, where I created maps for most of the layouts.
